If you want to help people overcome addictions and put their lives back on track, a career as a substance-use disorder professional could be for you.
In the Addiction Studies Program, you’ll study substance use disorders and other addictions, case management, counseling, and related topics that will give you the skills and knowledge to help people who struggle with addiction. Your training will include practical experiences in the field, where you will apply your learning in a work setting.
Our classes are offered online and on-ground, and students can start in any quarter of the academic year. Many students work in the field while taking classes.
Whether you want to work in a mental health facility, treatment center, hospital or criminal justice agency, an AS degree will help you meet the growing demand for professionals in the field. SFCC offers a two-year associates degree in Addiction Studies, preparing students either to enter their chosen career directly or to transfer into a bachelor’s program.
Bachelor of Applied Science in Integrated Behavioral Health
SFCC offers a Bachelor of Applied Science in Integrated Behavioral Health that builds on the knowledge and skills that graduates from ICS, AS, and other behavioral health, social or human services programs gained during their first two years in college.
